We breed about 300 falcons per year for falconry purposes and have run a gene bank for New Zealand Falcons since 1974. We have reared and released 53 Red Kites for the re-introduction of this species in UK and provide consultancies for programmes breeding Spanish Imperial Eagles and endangered Indian Gyps vultures. We provide internships for trainees in bird of prey management techniques from many different countries.

Our offices and facilities are situated on an estate comprising four livestock farms in west Wales, UK. These are under the Tir Gofal countryside stewardship scheme and since 1982 we have changed 22% of the 280 agricultural acres to trees or conservation use, including a dozen ponds and a lake around the facility. The fifth farm of 200 acres is inside the Northumberland National Park and is managed for ground nesting species such as curlews and grey partridges. Restoration ecology and low-impact sustainable leisure uses of farmland is an area we are getting increasingly involved in.
