Additional skills such as horsemanship, farming skills, building skills etc would be an advantage. The post is non-smoking and needs a full clean driving licence. There is some opportunity for foreign travel and for participation in conservation or film work for suitable candidates. You will need to be presentable, enthusiastic and able to work in a team. There is the potential for flexible working times outside the breeding season.
Field Assistants.
We have seasonal placements available from time to time working alongside our teams in Asia and in New Zealand. For details contact Dr Andrew Dixon for Asia (www.mefrg.org), and Dr Nick Fox for New Zealand (office@falcons.co.uk). Applications for 2010 will be in December. There are possibilities in New Zealand for 2009/10, mainly hacking out young falcons into the vineyards and radiotracking them.
